Ral Partha Draconians.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the old 25mm Ral Partha and Grenadier miniatures. I remember collecting and painting the Dragons as a small whelp and will probably always think that they are some of best Dragons you can set your hands on, a tad linear I admit, but compare them to some of the newer beasts out there and you'll see what I mean. Though my opinion may be tainted.

Grenadier Miniatures, Black Dragon 2. From the Dragon Lords Range.
Now then,  I've been trying to get my hands on a set of Ral Parthas Dragonlance Draconian for an age, but the £70.00 plus price point has always been an issue, thus I have looked on from a distance and been left wanting.

Until the other week that is.

That's not Handy >.>

So as I said in my last post, we've all gotten into hordes.
This has given me an extra push to actually get some painting done. I've not really been inspired enough of late to sit down and concentrate on painting, but a new game, new figures, new colours.

YAY, I'm off again.

Anyhow this is my first batch of completed Mini's

Not the greatest Paint Jobs out there, but I'm more than happy with the end result. So now it's onto my Carniven....

Or it would have been, if Fate and Stupidity didn't decide to raise their ugly heads...

Spiral Fractures to both of my middle fingers

So after a Gladiators style Bouncy Castle related incident I have a big swollen and very painful right hand, with two busted fingers.

Luckily I'm right handed so... erm... crap.

Nope, cant even hold a paintbrush at the moment, let alone paint anything.
Not best pleased about this turn of events, but that's the way it is I guess.

Still I am pleased that I got my Shredders finished before messing myself up.

Sucks.

Hordes, Hmmm

So yeah, OK. I admit it I've put off Hordes and Warmachine for a while. Although I've always loved the look and style of the Mini's I've never... well... wanted to get into the game. Thus I have always looked on from a distance.

I caved...

God I feel so dirty, but after spending a day at the MK show, me and a buddy decided we would get the Two Player Starter between us, luckily for us both, I liked the Everblight and he liked the Circle (maybe a tad to much) so it all worked out well. He and another pal had an intro game of Hordes at the show, while I introduced my three year old to the hobby via an intro game of Warmachine.
